Inspired by the recent optical investigations on the hyperbolic metasurfaces, we study the possibility of new quasi-electrostatic waves propagation in such anisotropic 2D materials that do not propagate in the case of a regular 2D medium. The analytical result shows that the dispersion relation of these waves is free from the effects of permittivities of the surrounding media. These new waves may be considered as longitudinal quasi-electrostatic waves.
