Amine pumps are the most critical components in Iran's South Pars Gas Complex.
Their importance become clear when interruption in their operation and maintenance
create reducing or stopping of production. So monitoring their condition is very
important. In this study, an experimental method is presented for condition monitoring
of an amine pump. In addition, the amine pump is modeled in ANSYS finite element
software. The first three natural frequencies and the first three natural modes are
presented in modal analysis and due to the practical excitation frequency of an amine
pump is used 100 hertz, resonance is occurred at the first natural frequency. Finally in
order to reduce of vibrations, grouting process and strengthening of foundations of the
amine pump is performed. For strengthening of foundations of the amine pump, two Ishaped
beams at the beginning and ending and four latchkeys around basing are
installed. Experimental data results show that the value of the vibrations in the
junction box of amine pump is set in the allowed range according to ISO standard.
